Everyone has values that are important to them. If your personal values are not to have sex before you’re ready or to wait until you’re married, that’s important. The way to maintain your wholeness as a person is to stay true to your values.
Are there other ways we can build a loving relationship?
Sometimes it can seem as though all you hear is that a loving relationship depends on having sex. Being close to someone, though, is usually about other things. Have you ever made a list of the things that matter to you in a relationship? What makes you feel close to someone? Is it spending time doing activities you both enjoy? Talking? Focus on the things that will make the biggest difference in building a healthy relationship.
